Our Privacy Policy applies to the personal data that Thrive Retreats collects and uses.

References in this Privacy Policy to “Thrive Retreats”, “we”, “us” or “our” meaning “Thrive Retreats” (a company registered under the name Transform Retreats Ltd in England and Wales, company registration number 14635138, registered office at 3 Russell Street, Windsor, SL4 1HQ). We control the way your personal data is collected and the purposes for which your personal data is used and are therefore the “data controller” for the purposes of the GDPR 2023, UK Data Protection Act 1998 and any other applicable European data protection legislation.

 

What kind of personal data does Thrive Retreats collect?

To ensure we can personalize the service we give you, Thrive Retreats will require some necessary information at the time you enquire including but not limited to – your name and contact details.

We may collect and process the following categories of information about you at the time of booking your retreat or event with us:

  • First name, Surname, date of birth and gender

  • Contact details, including address, telephone numbers and email address

  • An emergency contacts full name, contact details and relationship to you, the client

  • Clothing and shoe size

  • Financial information, including credit/debit card details (please note, payment details are no longer stored on our systems once full payment of your retreat or event has been received)

  • Your communication with us including but not limited to email/SMS/phone/letters and face to face interactions

  • Where appropriate, your medical history including dietary requirements/ allergies and use of medication. This is for safety purposes only and ensures we can support you appropriately for the duration of your retreat/event with us

  • Flight details for any flights associated with your retreat/event booking

  • Identifiers assigned to your computer or other devices, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address

 

Why do Thrive Retreats collect and use your personal data?

We ask you for personal details to ensure we can deliver an appropriate level of service to all enquirers and booking received.

We may also use your personal data to contact for marketing purposes unless you have requested to opt out from further marketing.

Sharing your personal data

Your personal data may be shared with other companies associated with us. It may also be disclosed to a third party who acquires us or acquires a company we have partnership with.

We may also share some of your personal data with, or obtain your personal data from, the following categories of third parties:

  • Postal or digital mailing company/app – to send out communication to you on our behalf.

  • Specialist survey company/app – to send out surveys to you on our behalf (you are not obliged to respond to them).

  • Bank/credit or debit card companies – in order to process your payments for our services.

  • Web servers/website providers – hosting/storing some personal data.

  • CRM/ Website support – in order to access information when dealing with a technical fault on our servers.

  • Social media/digital marketing channels

  • Booking & checkout systems

In addition to the categories of recipient listed above, we may disclose your personal data when this is required by the law of any jurisdiction to which Thrive Retreats may be subject.

 

Data transferred outside the EU

Some of the companies we partner with are situated in third countries; therefore some data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).  Transfers of data to these companies are either on the basis of adequacy, or subject to appropriate safeguards.

We are committed to taking appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage to personal data.

Where Thrive Retreats discloses your personal data to a third party, we require them to have appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to protect your personal data; however in some instances we may be compelled by law to disclose your personal data to a third party, over which we have limited control.

How does Thrive Retreats make use of social media?

The use of social media may be integrated into our services in various ways. With your consent, your personal data, photos or video footage from our retreats may be used to promote our services.

How can you control your personal data?

As part of our service, we may email you from time to time with news and offers. If you do not wish to receive this additional information, you can; opt out at point of sale verbally, reply STOP to any email/SMS received from us or simply click unsubscribe at the bottom of our marketing emails.
